Jersey Beach Bars
Stick a bar on a beach, add some fruity cocktails and a cabana and you have what we call, a beach bar. But what makes a beach bar stand out to you? Is it the live music? The frozen cocktails? The people you meet? Here are some of my favorite beach bars in New Jersey that range from a Jersey Shore party, to a laid back Tiki experience.
Martell’s Tiki Bar in Point Pleasant, New Jersey is one of my favorite Tiki Bars to go to. They are open seven days a week from 10am-2am. Come to Martells, grab a spot on the beach, and enjoy cocktail service or pull up a stool at one of their many bars right on the ocean. Martells has great food, live music, and fantastic cocktails. Try their Tiki Tea, it’s my favorite!
Ocean Place Tiki Bar in Long Branch, New Jersey is a traditional thatch roof style Tiki Bar right on the boardwalk at the Pier Village in Long Branch. They have live music on the weekends, Adirondack chairs to relax in, and a large list of signature libations. You can spend a whole day relaxing in the sand at this Tiki Bar while enjoying signature fusion jar drinks, or an icy Miami Vice.
Surf City, located in Jersey City, New Jersey is a large bar and restaurant with incredible views of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. Surf City has five bars, one of which is exclusively devoted to frozen tropical drinks. There is seating for over 400 people at Surf City including two, four, and eight foot tables, as well as communal tables. Surf City opens at 4:00PM during the week, and noon on the weekends and is open till 2:00 and 3:00 in the morning!
Avenue, Long Branch, New Jersey is located in Pier Village near the Ocean Place Tiki Bar. It is a gorgeous destination for a beach party, brunch, lunch, or dinner. Avenue also has a pool on their rooftop where they host parties during the day, and at night. You can purchase tickets for events held at their beach bar and enjoy bottles of Belvidere mixed-drinks. Avenue has everything to offer for a daytime or nighttime visit to the shore.
Anchors Bend located on Asbury Park’s boardwalk is a casual bar and grill within the historic Convention Hall. If you’re on the beach for the day, it’s a great escape for a nice cocktail and lunch in the shade, or you can grab a chair and sit out in the sun and sand. It’s a great place if you have a big group for there is a lot of seating. A great play to vibe to good music and hang with good people!
I’ll see you at the bar!
