Weekend Happenings

Looking for something new to do this weekend but aren’t quite sure what to do? Don’t fret, we’re here to help with some suggestions for a range of different events and activities happening throughout the city this weekend. Bull Riding: January 16-18th. The PBR’s Monster Energy Buck Off returns to MSG this weekend with 35 of the worlds best bull riders and the toughest bulls on the planet. You can get in the doors for as low as $25 to experience the most exciting 8 seconds in the sports world.

Blue Man show: January 16-June 28th. The Blue Man group is back in NYC at the Astor Place Theater (434 Lafayette St) performing a mix of comedy, art, science, visual effects and music. Tickets start at $56 and can go as high as $106 for this weekend.

Beer Tasting: January 17th (Sold Out online) With only a limited number of tickets available at the door it may be difficult to get in. Mugs Alehouse in Brooklyn is hosting a beer tasting event where you and other attendees will judge different IPA’s and vote on the best one and reward the brewery! It starts at noon so get there early if you haven’t already bought tickets online to give yourself the best chance to get in.

Pinot Noir Tasting: January 18th. Located at City Winery (155 Varick St) in the Lower Westside of Manhattan, attendees will be able to taste some of the best Pinot Noir’s from Oregon, California and New Zealand. For $75 from 1-4PM you’ll get the chance to taste all the wine your heart desires or for $125 you can get the VIP Tasting a Seminar.

Dance Show & Party: January 16-March 8th. Furze Bruta is a live music and aerial dance routine show featuring a mix of club, circus, rave and underwater routines where the crowd stands and dances along with the performers. Held at the Daryl Roth Theater on East 15th Street between Union Square and Irving Plaza, tickets range from $75-$89.

Bayside! The Musical: January 16-March 28th: If you’re a 90’s baby or are just a fan of the 90’s show Saved by the Bell, you have to check out National Lampoons parody musical, Bayside! The Musical. The show is running till March 28th at Theatre 80 at 80 St Marks Pl on 1st Ave, tickets run from $25 to $35 and are available online.
