St. Paddy’s Parties in San Francisco
There are many places to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day around the city, but if you are looking for somewhere outside, here are two great options, Taverna Aventine and O’Reilly’s. Each having live music and great drink and food specials. The best part is, you can head over to both this weekend with Taverna Aventine today and O’Reilly’s on Sunday.
Today at 4 PM is the 5th annual Alley Party to kick off St. Patrick’s Day weekend, hosted by Taverna Aventine. It is free admission to enjoy a night full of celebrations. Taverna Aventine is blocking off Hotaling Alley and setting up food, bars (with $5 beer specials) and music. Aventine says that DJ Kool Karlo will be supplying the the downstairs parlor beats, while DJ Cams gets the outdoor party started at 5pm. Continue to rock under the stars to sick sounds brought by DJ VinSol going on at 9pm! There will also be food trucks suppling all kinds of yummy treats.
If you can’t make it to Taverna Aventine tonight, check out O’Reilly’s Block Party on Sunday. It will be a $10 cover, where you will hear live music from traditional Irish bands Fergus & Michael, The Quiet Men, The Gas Men, The Hooks, and the Bushmills Irish Pipers as well as Irish dancers. They will also be serving a celtic breakfast from 8 AM- 2 PM.
Enjoy the holiday,
