Brunch spots in Austin

Brunch is a great time to catch up with family and friends and forget the work week you have ahead of you.  Of course it’s best paired with a bloody mary or mimosa.  Here are some great spots for Brunch in Austin.

Chez Zee American Bistro – Chez Zee is warm and welcoming with a great Austin vibe.  Head here for Brunch on weekends starting at 9am.  Chow down on Southern grilled pork chops & eggs $16.95 and wash it down with a mimosa $4.95 or a pitcher for $29.  If your in the mood for a bloody mary don’t fret $5.95 or pitchers for $31.

Eastside Cafe – Stop in here for some old fashioned home style country food and you will be glad you did.  Their focus is on local and organic so try their smoked salmon benedict $14.95.  Brunch starts on weekends at 10am.

Enoteca Vespaio – Enoteca Vespaio is a quaint bistro-inspired cafe.  They serve Brunch on Sundays starting at 10.  While noshing down on some darn fine Italian crepes or wood fired pizza finish it off with $5 Mimosas, Belinis and Greyhounds $6 Bloody Mary’s.

Fonda San Miguel – If your looking for a great Brunch buffet this is the place to go.  Served on Sundays starting at 11 their Brunch features classic regional Mexican cuisine prepared with authentic recipes and numerous ingredients from the restaurant’s on-site organic garden.

Green Pastures Restaurant – Enjoy their Sunday Brunch buffet starting at 11am – $36 pp.  Start your morning with their  traditional southern milk punch with bourbon, rum, and brandy.  After your feast stroll their gorgeous 7 acres and take in the fresh air and keep an eye out for the Peacocks.

Lamberts Downtown Barbecue– Barbecue for Brunch you ask?  Heck yeah is the answer.  Start your morning off with their spicy deviled eggs (Smoked Paprika, American Caviar, Cornichons, Olives, Caperberries) $9 then try the Lamberts Eggs Benedict (House Cured Bacon, Grilled Canadian Bacon, Poached Eggs, Cholula Hollandaise) $14 but our favorite was the Crispy Wild Boar Ribs (Honey & Sambal, Cabrales Blue Cheese, Celery & Daikon Slaw) $13

Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill – Their Sunday Brunch buffet starts at 9am on Sundays and is very affordable at $19.95.  It has a country/rustic vibe and patio seating if you want to enjoy the great weather.  They have anything you could want on a Sunday morning including fresh fruit and salad, king ranch casserole, poblano grits, and baby biscuits and gravy with chicken fried steak.

Perla’s Seafood and Oyster Bar– If you want to start your morning off with some oysters this is a great place to be with 13 varieties.  You can enjoy your meal on their spacious patio where Brunch starts at 11 on weekends.  After you and your family/friends have polished off the oysters try their Lobster Omelette (Farm Eggs, White Cheddar, Creme Fraiche, Caviar, Baby Lettuce Salad) $22

South Congress Cafe– Brunch is served 7 days a week at this quaint cafe Monday-Friday 10-4 and on weekends from 9-4.  The smoked brisket hash is a must try as well as their carrot cake french toast.
