Irish Pubs in Philly

You may have missed the parade but there is still another weekend full of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. Here are the top Irish Pubs to check out for some Corn Beef and Cabbage washed down by a cold Guinness.

Fado Irish Pub: 2012 Award Winning Best Irish Pub. The celebrations start at 7 AM on Sunday with Pints and Pancakes. Then around noon there will be Live Music and Irish Dancers. DJ Press Play will start at 3 PM and will play till close.  Buy tickets in advance for $7 or pay $10 at the door.

Fergie’s Pub: 2012 Best Irish Pub Finalist.  The celebrations start Saturday at 4PM with Traditional Irish Music Session. On Sunday there will be  TIGHT SIX Comedy Open Mic as well as Rusty Cadillac starting at 8 PM. This is the perfect place if you don’t want to pay a cover.

McGillin’s Olde Ale House: 2012 Best Irish Pub Finalist. Saturday there will be a $2 cover and will be serving green beer! Sunday is the greenest, oldest & best celebration! Green beer, Irish Stout, Irish Potato Martinis, Chocolate Leprechaun Cocktails & Irish food. Opening 10 a.m. – one hour early. Cover.

Tir Na Nog Bar & Grill: 2012 Best Irish Pub Finalist. Starting at 9:30 AM the English Premiership Games at 10 AM the GAA – All Ireland Club Hurling and Football Finals will be aired. There will also be a Live DJ, DJ Dirte Harry, as well as a Live Band, Bogside Rogues. Come swing by to watch some sporting events and to listen to some music.

Finnigan’s Wake2012 Best Irish Pub Nominee. Finnigan’s will have its normal Sunday Funday event the several other events throughout the day. There will also be Birmingham 6, Sean Fleming, Secret Service and The Hooligans. Come hang out and enjoy the St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations.

O’Neal’s Pub2012 Best Irish Pub Nominee. Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM to 6 PM, no cover for the Irish Festival on 3rd Street between South and Bainbridge Streets. There will be beer, Irish Whiskey, Irish Food, Other Foods, Live Irish Music, Irish Dancers, Irish Merchandise, and Kids Activities.

Kildare’s Irish Pub2012 Best Irish Pub Nominee. “Where Beautiful People Drink Beautiful Beer” 17 Days of Irish Culture and Heritage, ending on St. Patrick’s Day. Irish food, drinks and dancers to celebrate.

The Bards2012 Best Irish Pub Nominee. The celebration starts on Saturday with the 6 Nations Rugby game, Wales vs. England starting at 1:00 PM. On Sunday the day starts at 7:00 AM with Kegs and Eggs that goes till 9 AM. There will be other specials, food: Bacon and Cabbage, Guinness Irish Stew, Shepherd’s Pie and Full Irish Breakfast. The drink special is $5 Guinness Pints.

Irish Pub2012 Best Irish Pub Nominee. Brunch Specials (10AM – 2PM) $4 Mimosas $5 Bloody Marys, all day drink specials, $2.50 Miller Lite Pints & $8 Pitchers, $4 Sam Seasonal Pints and $5 Kilbeggan Hot Toddies.

The Plough & The Stars2012 Best Irish Pub Nominee. The celebrations start on Friday with Live music from Patsy Ward, Irish dancers at 7pm and 11:30pm! On Saturday, Live Music from Raymond Coleman, Irish dancers at 7pm and 11:30 pm. Give aways after 10 and a balloon drop at midnight! And to wrap on the weekend on Sunday, Jimmy Lynn’s Irish Breakfast Buffet at 8:30am, Live music and DJ all day long, Irish dancers and the most fun you’ve ever had all day long!
