St. Paddy’s Day Parade in Philly

This years theme of the St. Patrick’s Day parade is The Philadelphia Irish Memorial: A Decade of Remembrance.  It is this Sunday, March 10 from 12:00 till 3:00 PM. The parade starts South side of JFK Blvd between 17th and 18th streets. While waiting for the parade to make its way through the route, here are some bars you can check out.

Cherry St Tavern: 129 N 22nd St.

This tavern is located at the start of the parade route in Logan Square. Cherry St Tavern is perfect for groups, where you can relax and listen to the jukebox while waiting for the parade to start up.

Philly Pub ‘n Grub: 2001 Hamilton St.

This pub is also located in Logan Square. It is perfect to grab a seat in their outdoor space to watch the parade go by.

Little Pete’s Restaurant: 2401 Pennsylvania Ave.

If you would rather watch the performances of the parade this is a great spot to post up at. It is located in Rittenhouse Square, perfect to grab a few beers and some food before the performances start.

Gallagher’s on the Parkway: 2200 Pennsylvania Ave.

This sports bar is perfect to swing by before the parade performances start. Located in Spring Garden neighborhood, you can grab a cold guinness and listen to great music from the jukebox.
