St Paddy’s Day in Austin

St Paddy’s Day is just around the corner.  Here is a list of some of the happenings in Austin.

B.D. Riley’s Irish Pub – 3/17 Frat-like it may be but they go nuts on St. Patrick’s Day from 10am on with live music and bagpipes, and Irish food and drink specials.

Fado Irish Pub – Fadó Irish Pub & Restaurant brings the biggest St. Patrick’s Day celebration to Austin, and with a colossal two day event planned, this year is no different. The party actually starts on 3/13 at 7:30 with Paddy’s Theme Pub Quiz. Their weekly Pub Quiz with a festive St. Patrick’s Day twist. Pub cash and prizes are given out to the top three teams of the night. 3/16 Sport your Irish pride early with Live music starting at 3 from Traveler band and The Blaggards. 3/17 Fadó has a rockin block party 4th Street between Colorado and Lavaca is closed off.  An all-day out-door celebration includes live entertainment on two stages, Irish food, kegs and an outdoor beer garden.  Doors open at 9 a.m., and the outdoor event begins at Noon. Tickets are $10 and are now available for purchase online. All ages are welcome from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., ages 21+ only from 2 p.m. – close.

Opal Devine’s Freehouse – 3/17 Look out for leprechauns dancing next to the stage in the parking lot as bands play all day long at this raucous festival.

Sherlock’s Baker St. Pub and Grill – 3/17 Enjoy green beer and live music during the liveliest holiday of the year at a St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations starting at 11 a.m.  They will host festivities both indoors and outdoors, with live music, beads and other party giveaways. Music starts at noon with performances by JUSTIF 7 Friends, Deann Rene Band and Safety Patrol.

The Dog & Duck Pub – 3/17 Celebrate the luck of the Irish with live music, traditional food and drink out in the tented lot.
