Easter Egg White Cocktails
Frothy, smooth, and silky, egg white cocktails are the perfect pairing for a wonderful Easter dinner. You may think, raw eggs in my alcohol? Gross! But, you cannot knock them, till you taste them. The egg whites create a unique texture when properly shaken that resembles the top of a cappuccino…but creamier! I cannot get enough.
It is all about proper technique! When making these cocktails at home, use a small egg for one cocktail, jumbo for two. Crack the egg open (give it a whiff to check for freshness) and add the egg white to your shaker. Add the rest of your ingredients minus the ice and take your shaker for a ride. This is the “dry shake.” Once pressure starts to build, open the shaker, add your ice, and shake again. This is the “wet shake.” After shaking, strain your cocktail into your glass and enjoy!
