Easter Cocktails

Looking for some cocktails to make your Easter egg hunt more exciting?  Indulge in some of these springtime cocktails guaranteed to liven up your Easter party.  From the refreshing Cucumber Mint Gimlet, to the pastel Pink Bonnet Cocktail, these recipes are sure to please your guests.  Below are some of my all-time favorite Easter cocktails:

Pink Bonnet:  A pastel pink cocktail with emulsified egg white is perfect for your Easter Sunday party.  Add 1-1/2 ounces of gin, 1/2 ounce of simple syrup, 3/4 ounces of lemon juice, 2 dashes of creme de framboise or grenadine (for color), and an egg white to a shaker and shake well to emulsify the egg white.  Next, shake all the ingredients with ice and strain into a small cocktail glass.  Add fresh mint leaves to garnish this beautiful pastel cocktail.

The Clover:  A green pop of color sure to remind you of springtime green grass and budding flowers!  Combine 1-1/2 ounces of gin, 1 ounce of triple sec, a dash of Pernod (anise flavored liqueur), and a dash of green creme de menthe in a cocktail shaker.  Strain into a cocktail glass and enjoy.

Cucumber Mint Gimlet:  In a 2 Quart Pitcher Stir 4-1/2 Cups of Gin, 2-1/4 cups of fresh lime juice, and 1 Cup of mint simple syrup.  Refrigerate.  When serving, pour into a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously.  Divide among 10-ounce glasses filled with ice and garnish with cucumber peel and mint.

Pear-Lemon Fizz:  Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.  Add a 1/2 ounce of pear vodka, 3/4 ounces of Lemon Verbena Simple Syrup, and 1/2 ounce of lemon juice.  Shake and then strain into a glass.  Top off the glass with Champagne and garnish with a fresh lemon verbena leaf.

These candy-colored cocktails are sure to get any Easter party started off right.  Add some Peeps and you’re all set to go.  Enjoy!
