Royal Wedding 2018

In case you’ve been living under a rock, this Saturday, May 19th, is the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle! For those who are fans, or anyone looking to start day drinking bright and early, there are many viewing parties happening around NYC and the surrounding areas.

New York City

Jones Wood Foundry and The Shakespeare

These two sister bars are hosting breakfast viewing parties are their establishments. Doors will open at 6 am and tickets go for $ 70*. The tickets include a welcome mimosa, live broadcast of all the Royal Wedding Festivities,  as well as a regal breakfast of the couple’s favorite foods, as well as British and American traditional breakfast favorites. But wait there’s more! They will be toasting to the newlyweds with champange and wedding cake! Lastly, you’ll receive special mementos of the occasion.

After the event the party will continue with wine tasting of check Chapel Downtown wine. It will take place on our terrace after the Royal Wedding event.

Down The Hatch

The doors will be opening at 7 AM on Saturday. You’ll get an open bar for $35 from 8AM-Noon, and they will be serving $4 Mimosas & Rose Cider!

Chip Shop Pub

The doors will be opening at 6AM and the main event starts at 7AM. Chip Shop will be serving up scones with jam and cream, tea, coffee and a full bar! No reservations, no cover just arrive early to get seat!

Albatross Bar

For those of you who do not want to wake up early on a weekend (we dont blame you) head over to Albatross, they will be showing the re-cap of the wedding at 7pm on Saturday. They will have a 2-4-1 happy hour from 5-8pm then they will also have their double drag Saturday, both an early and late show.

Madame Tussauds New York

They will be having Live coverage, starting at 6:30AM, of the Royal Wedding along with brunch, champagne, special appearances from cast members of ‘Say Yes To The Dress’ & so much more! Get tickets here.

Common Ground Bar

They have two types of tickets; Table of Two, The Shower, which includes Carafe of mimosa and breakfast for 2. Or Table of Four, The Ceremony, Carafe of mimosa, 1 bottle of gin or vodka, and Breakfast for 4! The breakfast is a full English breakfast: Cage-free fried eggs, pork sausage, baked beans, bacon, chargrilled tomato & toast. You must be 21 years of age.

Lillie’s Times Square

They will be offering many  royally inspired cocktails, adding menu items, and more during the Royal Wedding. When attending this party, you’ll indulge in Beef Wellington Duxelles Mushroom Compote Puff Pastry, Lemon Elderflower Wedding Cake, and a complimentary cocktail for guests arrive in their royal wedding attire.  Other cocktails are Heathrow Tonic Cocktail with Earl Grey-infused gin, tonic, and lemon. $10. Pimm’s Cup Cocktail with Pimm’s, mint, orange, strawberries, and cucumber. $14.Veil of Roses Cocktail with London Dry gin, Lillet rosé, sparkling wine, and fresh lavender. $15. Adding to the menu, there will be  Lemon Meringue Tartlette Dessert Special $9. 

The Palm Court

Doors open at 6:30am and the party will go to 10:30am! You’ll recieve a special Royal Tea and Royal Fizz cocktail. There are two options:

Option number 1 is an over-the-top Royal Brunch ($150/person) that includes  Krug champagne, mimosas, Bellinis, and twists on British brunch items. Guests are encouraged to dress for a traditional British wedding, don’t forget your fascinators or at least show up in formal Sunday brunch attire. A contest will be held for the “Best Fascinator.” Reservations are required and can be made on OpenTable.

Then we have option number 2 is from 12 noon to 4:45pm.. The Royal Tea ($105/person), this is more of a traditional high tea, will be an array of sweet and savory bites and a glass of champagne. These bites include a roasted prime rib sandwich with a miniature Yorkshire pudding, a sherry trifle in the red, white, and blue of the Union Jack, and a traditional wedding fruitcake. It will also include a royal’s tastes, of a tuna niçoise canapé, a roast chicken “BLT”and some of the Royal’s favorite desserts.

Irvington 

Royal Brunch, of warm crumpets, with local butter and raspberry preserves for $14 (4 crumpets per order), (along with their normal brunch menu) during the viewing  Royal Wedding. That’s not all, they will also have a  “Build Your Own Bubbles” station which includes: 1 bottle of prosecco and 3 local fresh juices for $75.

Jersey City

Corgi Spirits at the Jersey City Distillery

Enjoy the Royal Wedding at the distillery in Jersey City! It’ll be viewed on their new projector, and  they will have plenty of drink specials, prizes, and entertainment.  The dress code is dress to impress, best dressed will win some prizes!
