  1. Go out in a new Neighborhood. Who isn’t sick of doing the same thing all the time? Change up the scene by trying out a new neighborhood, travel to the Upper East Side, or down to the FiDi, or even across the Hudson to Hoboken! There are so many cool places around to try, so branch out of your normal routine in 2017!
  1. If you are comfortable in your neighborhood, why not take a baby step and try out a new bar or club! In NYC there’s always new bars popping up every year, why not take a break from your normal watering hole and try something new. You may just find a new favorite spot for after work, or a new place to meet up with friends for a night out on the town. Click here to check out the bars that opened in 2016!
  1. Be daring and try new drink recipes this year. I know I am a victim of always ordering or making the same ole cocktail (Tito’s vodka and club- if I’m daring a splash on pineapple juice), but it’s time to change that! We have so many recipes on the barHappy blog for you to try! So change up your normal cocktail, and try them out at home, or order it at the bar, be daring you’ll never know what you’ll end up loving.
  1. Are you stuck in a liquor rut? Too afraid to try a new spirit? I know it can be intimating but once you try one, you’ll be more inclined to try others. For me, I used to be afraid to try bourbon, but now I love it! In 2017, I am going to be willing to try gin!

Enjoy 2017!

Cheers,

Meggie
